By using the site and the services available on it you are deemed to accept these terms and conditions and any additional terms and conditions which expressly apply to services and information provided by third parties.
Jobseeker Conditions
Data protectionOur use of CVs and other personal information supplied by users of this site is governed by our privacy policy.:
- Travel Industry Jobs and its partners take very seriously such matters as protecting the confidentiality of our clients and candidates, and with this in mind we adhere to our Data Protection & Privacy Statement.
- You can remove any of the information that Travel Industry Jobs stores about you, at any time, by logging in to your account and deleting your profile.
- Contact and other details you supply as part of the registration process are stored by us and used to provide you with the information you have requested.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the username and password or and also for activities that take place within your account. In no event will we be liaible for any loss or damage resulting from the disclosure of your log-in details before you inform us of any suspicion or evidence that your details may have been used by a party other than you.
- When you complete your Travel Industry Jobs profile, including your CV, it will be made available for searching, viewing over the Internet and downloading by Travel Industry Jobs customers. Customers who request CVs matching your profile to be sent to them will receive your CV and profile via email. These may be direct recruiters, employment consultants or other organisations. You can choose to prevent our customers from accessing your personal details, CV and profile. You can also choose to make your personal details and your CV anonymous, while having your profile available to be searched on by recruiters. In this instance, Travel Industry Jobs identifies you to recruiters with an ID number. You can then choose to reveal yourself when you reply.
- Travel Industry Jobs will also use the aggregate data to identify employment trends across different industries, such as salary averages. This information will not be capable of being linked to any personally identifying information about users.
- Some of our customers may be located in countries outside the European Economic Area.
- When you 'apply online', we store some information about you in your personal area, but it is protected by your password and may only be accessed by you. It does not form part of our candidate database and cannot be searched or accessed by our customers. Your CV can only be viewed by a Travel Industry Jobs customer if you have consented to this within the profile section.
- If you choose to create a profile and upload a CV to our database, we rely on you to ensure that your details are kept up to date. You should update your CV at least every six months, particularly if your contact details have changed.
- Please note that Travel Industry Jobs reserves the right to remove from our database CVs which include any content that we consider to be illegal or offensive. We will also remove a CV if a complaint is upheld, which has been made against it.
IMPORTANT: Your current employer may be a customer of Travel Industry Jobs, or a client of one of our customers. Travel Industry Jobs cannot restrict the customers who access profiles on our database and cannot be held responsible for any eventuality. As part of the registration process Travel Industry Jobs offers you the option of remaining anonymous.
Services- The Website may provide communication tools such as email, bulletin boards, chat areas, news groups, forums and/or other message or communication facilities, job search facilities, the ability for you to upload your CV to be viewed by others, a registration form which will allow others the ability to search on Content which you have provided and additional services available from time to time ("the Services").
- Unless otherwise stated when registering your details and uploading your CV on the Website, your details including CV will be made available to others subject always to the Privacy Policy.
- Unless otherwise stated the Services are for your personal and non-commercial use only and you may not assign or transfer the benefit of this Agreement to any other person or party or use the Services for any purpose other than for which they are made available by you.
- The services we provide via our Website are based on advertising and providing a forum for work-seekers and potential employers (or their agents) to make contact. As such, in making the Services available, we do not act in the capacity of an Employment Business or an Employment Agency as defined by the Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003.
- The information and services available on the site are provided for the sole purpose of assisting individuals in finding employment and making career decisions and to assist employers in recruiting staff. You may use, print and download information from the site for these purposes only and for no other personal or commercial purpose. You may not otherwise copy, display, transmit or distribute any material from the site.
- All copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the site and the material available on the site belongs to Travel Industry Jobs or its third party suppliers. Use of the site does not give you any proprietary rights in such materials.
- CVs and job advertisements contained on the site are provided by candidates and by prospective employers and their agents. We accept no responsibility or liability for the contents of CVs or advertisements and expect candidates and prospective employers to carry out such verification procedures as are customary and prudent in the circumstances. Service availability We try to ensure continuous availability of the site and all the services available on it but accept no responsibility for the consequences of interruptions or delays, however caused. We may, additionally, alter the design and specification of the site at any time.
- Cookies are small pieces of information stored by us on your computer which enable us to identify your computer when you access the totaljobs web site and to provide you with a convenient means of access. The cookies we use also protect the integrity of registered user names and passwords and limit access to 'paid for' services. We also use cookies to collect aggregate statistical information about the use of our site. There is no personally identifiable information held on cookies. An example of a cookie is below. You have the option to decline or accept these cookies, but if you decline you will not be able to access the personalised areas of the site. This means you will not be able to access your candidate profile, register your CV or set up any jobs by emails.
Our liability, and the liability of our third party suppliers, for any loss or damage suffered by you as the result of your use of this site is limited to your actual direct damages and, except in the case of fraud, excludes any loss of future earnings, profit or prospects or any consequential or speculative loss. As required by law, this exclusion does not extend to death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing lawThese terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English law and all disputes shall be decided by the English courts.
Advertiser Terms & Conditions GeneralIn these terms and conditions:
- References to 'we', 'us' or 'our' are references to Travel Industry Jobs;
- 'Customer' means any person, company, organisation or firm which purchases Services from us;
- 'Order Form' means an order for Services on a form provided by us (in any format) and signed by a Customer;
- 'Services' means all recruitment products and services made available by us from time to time;
- 'Contract Month' means, in respect of any Order Form relating to the provision of Services for a specified period of months, the calendar month commencing on the start date specified in the Order Form and ending on the day before the same date in the next calendar month. For example, the calendar month commencing on 24 February and ending 23 March;
- 'Contract Term' means the full term specified in the Order Form.
- We will not commence the provision of Services pursuant to any Order Form until the Order Form has been returned to us, in a form approved by us and signed by the Customer.
- Branding Prices are guaranteed for the period stated on the Contract. Prices are confidential and may not be disclosed by the Customer. A single job is identified by its unique ID number.
- If any Services to be used within any time period specified on the Contract are not used within that period of time they may not be carried over into any subsequent period without our prior written consent. The Customer will be responsible for payment for any unused Services.
- We reserve the right to update the prices and services on the website, which cannot be guaranteed for any period of time. We shall make every effort to ensure that prices are correct at the point at which you place an order.
- All prices exclude VAT which shall where applicable be paid in addition at the rate in force at the due time for payment subject to the provision of a proper VAT invoice.
- All invoices are payable within 30 days. Late payment will entitle us to suspend provision of Services. Interest on overdue invoices shall accrue from the date when payment becomes due from day to day until the date of payment at the statutory rate in force from time to time and shall accrue at such a rate after as well as before any judgment.
- Where applicable, if any payment is not paid on time, rejected or refused, the amount owing will be regarded as overdue and we will be entitled to cease or suspend services until payment has been received.
The Customer may terminate the provision of Services under any Order Form by no less than 30 days notice to expire at the end of a Contract Month. Termination by the Customer before the end of the Contract Term may, at our discretion, result in loss of discounts agreed for the entire Contract Term.
We may terminate the provision of Services if:
- the Customer is in material breach of these terms and conditions and has not remedied such breach within ten days of notice specifying the breach and requiring that it be remedied, or:
- the Customer becomes insolvent, ceases to trade or goes into liquidation.
Our total liability to the Customer in respect of any Services, except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, is limited to the total amount paid to us during the Contract Term.
Job Posting
Employment agencies and employment businessesIf you are an employment agency or an employment business (as defined by the Employment Agencies Act 1973 ('the Act')) it is your responsibility to ensure that advertisements you place on Travel Industry Jobs comply with your obligations under the Act and the various regulations made under the Act together with applicable guidelines. These regulations are currently contained in the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 1976 and (when they come into force) 2001. You agree to comply with the Act and these regulations as they affect the conduct of your business and the advertisements you place on Travel Industry Jobs
Site rulesThe following rules apply when posting jobs:
- No duplicating of jobs at the expense of other clients' jobs.
- No attempting to break Travel Industry Jobs code for advertisers' benefit.
- No gratuitous use of keywords in job descriptions or job titles. Gratuitous is defined as deliberately inserting words, strings of words, or repeating job titles, with the intention of influencing position in the results listing, or increasing the number of page views.
- Job advertisements placed on Travel Industry Jobs must be for genuine vacancies only, and not for other products or services, either relating to or unrelated to recruitment including, but not limited to, affiliate schemes, pyramid selling schemes or any other so called 'business opportunity'.
- URLs or email links (live or text only) are not permitted in the body copy of the job description page. Email links are permitted from the 'send an email' link and url linking is permitted from the 'apply online' link.
- We do not claim ownership of any materials you post, upload or submit to any publicly accessible area of the Services. However, by doing so you are granting us a world-wide, royalty free, non-exclusive licence to copy, distribute, transmit, reproduce, publicly display, edit, translate or publish such Content for as long as you elect to display such Content via the Website (to including using anything you post by way of comment on any Interactive Service such as a notice board or forum as a testimonial or for other publicity purposes even after you have ceased to display such Content). The licence shall be terminated when such Content is deleted from the Website.
- We will not be liable for any errors or emissions during the electronic processing of Content to the website. You will be responsible for keeping your content up to date and accurate using the employer area on the website.
- We will charge fees to you for the services at rates published or at or as specifically quoted in writing by us. We reserve the right to amend fees and pricing without prior notice to you.
- We may immediately delete, suspend or refuse to accept any content in accordance with the Acceptable Use policy and may change the contents position on the website without prior notice to you.
- You must not under any circumstances seek to undermine the security of the Website or access, alter or delete any information to which you do not have authorised access, seek to overload the system via spamming or flooding, take any action or use any device, routine or software to crash, delay, damage or otherwise interfere with the operation of this Website or attempt to decipher, disassemble or modify any of the software, coding or information comprised in the Website.
Site rules should be adhered to ensure that users who search the site or the Travel Industry Jobs database get results which are presented as clearly and informatively as possible. You agree that we may, at our discretion and without liability to you, remove from Travel Industry Jobs any advertisement which is posted in breach of these rules. The rules may change from time to time and you are advised to refer to them regularly.
Responses to advertisements- You agree to deal fairly and professionally with individuals who may respond to an advertisement you have posted and not do anything which may bring Travel Industry Jobs into disrepute. You will indemnify Travel Industry Jobs from and against any claim brought by an individual against Travel Industry Jobs arising from your breach of this obligation or any other of these terms and conditions.
- We do not guarantee any response to your advertisement or that responses will be from individuals suitable for the job advertised. It is your responsibility to carry out such checks and procedures as are necessary to ensure that candidates are suitable for the job advertised and have the required qualifications and personal characteristics.
- We do not guarantee that the advertisements placed on the website will lead to a successful campaign for you.
- This agreement may be amended, modified, varied or supplemented by us at any time subject to us informing you in writing of any changes we believe may be relevant to your Contract.
- We use our best efforts to ensure that Travel Industry Jobs is available to users of the world wide web 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, at times the site may be partially or completely unavailable due to technical faults or reasons beyond our control such as failures by third party service providers or a risk of virus attack. We will deal with these situations as quickly as reasonably possible, but you agree that we shall have no financial liability to you in the event of such unavailability.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate equipment and are connected to the appropriate services to enable you to post jobs to Travel Industry Jobs.
- Travel Industry Jobs will not incorporate any costs to aid the posting of jobs via a third party that is not compatible with the site.
- If your advertisement links to another site, you are responsible for maintaining the links and for the content of your advertisement and the linked site. We may remove from Travel Industry Jobs any advertisement which contains content or links to a site which, in our opinion, is defamatory or objectionable or will bring Travel Industry Jobs into disrepute. You will indemnify us from and against any claims or liability arising from content or links contained in your advertisements.
Vacancies you post on Travel Industry Jobs may also appear on third party recruitment web sites pursuant to agreements from time to time between Travel Industry Jobs and the proprietors of such web sites.
Candidate Database
Employment agencies and employment businesses- If you are an employment agency or an employment business (as defined by the Employment Agencies Act 1973 ('the Act')) it is your responsibility to ensure that the use you make of information from our candidate database complies with your obligations under the Act and the various regulations made under it, together with any applicable guidelines. These regulations are currently contained in the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 1976 and (when they come into force) 2001. You agree to comply with the Act and these regulations as they affect the conduct of your business and the use you make of information on our candidate database.
Database rights (pursuant to the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997) and all other applicable copyright and intellectual property rights in the candidate database belong to Travel Industry Jobs. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any rights in the database or its content and that your retention and use of the database and its content is governed by these terms and conditions.
You may NOT:
- Supply, sell or license material from the candidate database, or a copy of it, to any other person, including another member of your group of companies.
- Contact the individuals on the database or make or allow any use of the information about those individuals, other than for the purpose of finding suitable candidates for specific job vacancies. You must, at all times, comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and all subsequent legislation and regulations.
- You agree to delete all material from the candidate database upon its replacement with up-to-date material or the satisfactory conclusion of your search for a suitable candidate, whichever occurs first.
- You agree to deal fairly and professionally with individuals you may contact using information from the candidate database and not do anything which may bring Travel Industry Jobs into disrepute. You will indemnify Travel Industry Jobs from and against any claim brought by an individual against Travel Industry Jobs arising from your breach of this obligation or any other of these terms and conditions.
- We use our best efforts to ensure that the candidate database is available for searching on Travel Industry Jobs via the world wide web 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, at times the site or search facility may be partially or complete unavailable due to technical faults or reasons beyond our control such as failures by third party service providers or risk of virus attack. We will deal with these situations as quickly as possible, but you agree that we shall have no financial liability to you in the event of such unavailability.
- Passwords are for the sole use of the person to whom they are issued. We may deny access to a password if we reasonably believe that it is being used by an unauthorised person or that the user is breaching these terms and conditions.
- These terms and conditions apply to all banner advertising material ('Campaigns') accepted by Travel Industry Jobs ('we' or 'us') for display on any of our web sites. By placing a Campaign you accept these terms and conditions as principal, even if you are acting as agent or buyer for the actual advertiser.
- We must receive the complete creative content for a Campaign in acceptable format at least two working days before 9 am on the go- live date specified in your order. Otherwise, we may not be able to achieve the specified go-live date but you must pay the full amount set out in the order irrespective of whether any delivery target for impressions have been met.
- To cancel or alter your order you must inform us, by fax or email at the number or address on the order, at least two working days before 9 am on the go- live date specified in your order. Otherwise you must pay the full amount set out in the order, irrespective of whether any delivery targets for impressions have been met.
- You are responsible for the content of the Campaign and for ensuring that it complies with all relevant legislation and codes of practice. If we receive complaints about the content or the Campaign we may, at our discretion, remove the Campaign from display without reference or liability to you. You will indemnify us against any claim that the Campaign or its content infringes the intellectual property rights or other rights of others or is defamatory or otherwise offensive. If you are an employment agency or an employment business (as defined by the Employment Agencies Act 1973) it is your responsibility to ensure the advertisements you place on Travel Industry Jobs comply with the various regulations made under the Act. These regulations are contained in the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations as they affect the conduct of your business and the advertisements you place on Travel Industry Jobs.
- You are also responsible for fulfilling and dealing with any orders or enquiries relating to the goods or services to which the Campaign relates and you will indemnify and hold us harmless accordingly.
- Travel Industry Jobs can provide data on how many clicks were made to a banner on request.
- Your sole remedy if we, or our third party subcontractors who may host and serve Campaigns from time to time, make an error in displaying any Campaign is the cost of re-running the relevant Campaign. Neither we nor our subcontractors shall be liable in any circumstances for any loss of profit or business. We shall, additionally, have no liability for failure to display the Campaign caused by circumstances outside our control.
These terms and conditions are governed by the Laws of England.
